Apparently the plug for the cable that connects to the dongle is different from the simple one used by BS4 in the BS6 variant. That latter one is Honda compatible.
I use "Car Scanner ELM ODB2" - a free app from the android play store.

I have watched a video made by a German guy who explains it really well - maybe I will translate it down the line. In any case there seems to be a need for switching off the "engine" LED some times that comes on every time something strange happens in the ECU - and remains on even after the issue is dealt with.
Here is an instruction for the BS4 (not my model, I have BS6, so no comment on that):

Technical Modifications (in english!)
and on YT (BS4):

So for now here is what I have got from Amazon so far for about 15 US$: btw: the CD is useless - does not work.

BS6: It seems every time you have problems with the relays this LED comes on. This video in GERMAN explains it quite well. This is the one I may use for translation titled: Help, my Himalayan does not start up":

This is the plug for the cable:

Great video.
Q about the OBD plug. Looks like on the cable-plug-end there is a plug (red like the interface/end of the cable). Does that have any electrical function or is it just to keep the interface protected and clean?
Can the plug be ordered somewhere as spare part? Should I?

And over that is a rubber (which in my case is quite useless as it is just a tube, does not have any cover any more.

Thanks

Ps: I proudly own a 2022 Scram 411.

you mean the cap? it has no function other than dust protection. I dont think you can get the plug separately. what you can get cheap is the ODB2 cable that plugs into it and it will serve the same purpose. All Scram are BS6 so the Honda compatible cable that I use for the BS6 and now the 440 scram will work.
Btw: I have since shifted to the TORQUE app, its not free (but cheap) and works better than carscanner. I also sometimes use it as TACHO (RPM meter) as the scram has none.
