available - yes, I ordered one and got it. BUT they are not cheap. I think once we go "mainstream" the package should include detailed instructions how to machine the existing cover rather than buy a new one. If the construction fails at one point it is easy enough to close the hole in the cover by either a big screw or welding it or any other method that fits the bill.

In the open section under "polls" we have a discussion running that has so far gained 8 votes and only 3 in favor, 4 undecided and one against.
In this poll the price for the entire package is assumed to be 300 US$ but if the side panel has to be part of the package (pre-bored etc.) that price is illusionary. 600 US% is more likely and that only if the parts we need to make are reasonably priced in low numbers which is a problem if they are made from steel (not 3-d printed).
So apart from the fact that this project is advancing at a snails speed it likely will also not result in anything sellable. Still a nice add-on for those of us who are willing to shell out the price for individually manufactured components.

Kickstart package for the Hima
There is a development for a kickstart. The package would contain all needed parts. Some additional simple changes to the housing needed to be made. For those without workshop it may come to 3-5 hours of paid work for a mechanic.

Clutch cover should be optional for the package i guess. I sometimes see used clutch covers for sale in europe for around 40-50 Euros, so thats maybe also an option for customers.

For the first (working) prototype, i am aiming for around 500 USD in parts/manufacturing total (without clutch cover). With this budget it will take time though.

The good news is that i have strong indications that the rear brake pedal doesn't have to be relocated.

Well I've been working on my "big radiator with fan" kit, but I'm almost on the verge of shelving the project (after my one off) because of final price of the kit.
Among big radiator, fan, switch, hooses with fittings and custom made aluminium bracket (made in China on my design), the bare costs are already rocketing to 240/250€ (280$). To justify all this I'd need to sell it to 450$ minimum (considering a small production batch of at least 20units...) which is an insane price for the average Joe to shell out...
Not to be a party pooper here, but 500$ + sourcing and machining a side cover (easily other 150$ among part and work) for what is mostly a gimmick (with some limited use I reckon) I think is way too much.
@barima have you tried to send your parts design to China and have them quoted?

Just to be clear: I estimate the first prototype to be around 500 usd in material/work cost. For a (small) production batch this could be easily cheaper (certainly if outsourced in China etc.)
I will have the two gears locally designed and made for the protoype and that will be probably the biggest cut in this budget. If a custom shaft has to be made this budget will be very tight.
I'm quite happy how this turned out. Shaft diameter is perfect and may be the same as RE had intended. The kickstartershaft is a bit too long but thats a good thing. The kickstarter arm will need a small bend.
So next steps will be shortening the kickstarter shaft and make a bronze bushing to fit inside the crankcase.
I will also fit it onto my own bike to check clearance issues (footpeg, brakepedal etc.). It will probably make a full 60 degree rotation.

I don't think it's going to be needed, only thing that holds me back is to source (and precisely machine) a side cover...I will do it if I don't need to remove the Engine from the Frame

At least one side cover has to remain "intact", if I screw up (which I'm prone to usually...) at least I want to still be able to use the bike...

Probably I should pull the trigger on a classic chrome 500, it comes with kickstarter from factory, so problem solved!
