Noise is also because the lobes make the valve train work a bit harder.
I set mine "tight" at 7 and 3 thou and probably have gotten used to the noise, or partially deaf

After the initial run in 300 miles it was reading 185 PSI with the engine warmed up and wide open throttle. I have no idea if my compression tester is accurate as I know there is a lot of variance between tools. When used on my twins I just make sure they are ballpark'ish and more importantly even readings. Can't check even readings on a single LOLNoise is also because the lobes make the valve train work a bit harder.

185 makes total sense. btw: I had 3 different instruments, all china made but vastly different prices (30 - 120 bucks) and they measured within a 10 psi error envelope.
