After the initial run in 300 miles it was reading 185 PSI with the engine warmed up and wide open throttle. I have no idea if my compression tester is accurate as I know there is a lot of variance between tools. When used on my twins I just make sure they are ballpark'ish and more importantly even readings. Can't check even readings on a single LOLNoise is also because the lobes make the valve train work a bit harder.
I set mine "tight" at 7 and 3 thou and probably have gotten used to the noise, or partially deaf
Kent make great Cams.
What compression has your build got?
185 makes total sense. btw: I had 3 different instruments, all china made but vastly different prices (30 - 120 bucks) and they measured within a 10 psi error envelope. After the initial run in 300 miles it was reading 185 PSI with the engine warmed up and wide open throttle.
