People should keep in mind that this is primarily a support forum for the HT big bore sets (and other HT products). While general questions are welcome it is kinda strange to have some people expect us to debug their problems with ECUs or BB sets of OTHER manufacturers or re-sellers.
Anyone visiting here should recall the simple fact that with each purchase you do not only purchase a physical product but ALSO and often primarily the SUPPORT you expect to receive with regards to this product.

To make it very clear - we are not interested in supporting (aka spending valuable time with) those who spent their money elsewhere.

Remember the classic:
"There is hardly anything in the world that cannot be made a little worse and sold a little cheaper, and those who consider price alone are that man's lawful prey."
John Ruskin

It amazes me to no end how entitled some people are. They buy their stuff elsewhere and when I block them from asking for help with exactly that stuff here they are kicking and screaming like its the most natural thing in the world to throw money at cheapo no-support-sellers, then turn around and get the support at a supplier who offers real support. I guess its the same folk that runs into a brick and mortar shop to get some gadget explained, just to then buy it at amazon and feel smart about it.
Don't get me wrong, its absolutely fine to ask any question as long as it is not obvious that you have already bought the item you are asking about elsewhere and we are also offering it. I always ask where the item was sourced but if the answer is "a friend gave it to me" but the friends name then is not disclosed for unknown reasons - bham - you are out. Threatening emails won't help LOL.

I was asking specifically what the complaints are regarding some competing vendors (not mentioning any names here) and I got this:
In my opinion the last point is the real crux, we spend days, sometimes weeks to help a customer optimize. Of course if you just brush it off as "we are only a sales outlet" you save tons of time and effort. Its the Chinese way but also rampant in other areas of the world.

Key Community Complaints on Remote Support

  • Communication Breakdown & Vague Answers: Because of the limited English proficiency, responses are often blunt, single-sentence text messages, or audio notes that fail to answer specific technical questions. If a customer asks for precise details—like squish clearance, torque specs, or wiring diagrams—they often receive generic or non-responsive answers.
  • The "Bring the Bike to XXXX" Default: When an aftermarket part doesn't work out of the box (e.g., an ECU map or CDI unit failing to fire), the default response is almost always: "Bring the bike to the shop." For out-of-station or international customers buying online, this renders after-sales support virtually useless.
  • Lack of Documentation: They rarely provide printed manuals, pinout diagrams, or video tutorials. Customers are expected to either "just know" how to install the part or rely on local mechanics to figure it out by trial and error.
  • Ghosting Under Pressure: If a customer pushes back hard on a defective part, requests a refund, or demands structured troubleshooting steps, communication frequently stalls or stops until public pressure (forum posts, reviews) is applied.
