crazy 6 gear story

which part do you mean?
Carter A, it was in one of Panggam's pictures. Soba kindly added part no. already.

Apparently Panggam in his conversion swapped this part too, but it's unknown at the moment if it was changed due to the six speed conversion OR to the slipper clutch conversion.

Like I said, the post I took the image from was listing just 3 parts needed for six speed conversion: shaft drive, shaft counter and cam gear shift (aka drum if I ain't wrong).

Problem is Panggam's replies to the comments of people telling that might be require other parts are inconsistent and vague at some times.

The side cover is required as you will required as far as I know. But I am waiting for parts. Once received, will try. I have ordered everything just to deduce what is not required 😅

Good luck and please keep us updated.
It can be done for sure, but it's gonna be a development adventure in between

If you get the parts its pretty easy for a qualified RE mechanics to upgrade the system. the only problem is the gear assembly has few spacer and washer that is required and its pretty difficult to source. but doable just get the parts.

New video, this time on Youtube. This guy seems enjoyable and open to share, he said a tutorial will follow.

I believe I'll be waiting for the tutorial at this point, just to make sure I understand the parts required and avoid buying some useless.
As far as I could tell, they used the OEM 411 carter, so APPARENTLY, major parts required would be shaft, counter shaft and drum. Plus spacersa and washers like you said. Also need to confirm the replacement part number Panggam previosuly provided and check if my local dealer can order for me or if I have to buy from someone in India.

Just a reminder, there is still one set of parts in the SELLERS section. Not complete but its a start. If anyone buys it and hands me a list of the missing parts from that set I am willing to give it another shot at my sources. I accept INR:-)

Anybody has any update m planning to the same with my BS4 himalayan which has already been converted to BS3 with mikuni tm36 flats flatslide carb.
These are the main options:

1. Full gearbox swap including clutch and maybe sidecover as well. @SoBa is working on this. This should be the most straightforward swap. This is presumably the swap done by Wakham.

2. I am trying to convert by swapping the necessary gears onto the 5 speed shafts. This way you can keep the original clutch and cover. I am making progress on this one.

P.s. Are you running the TM36 on stock 410cc?
