ABS removal

If you fully remove the ABS will the ABS warning light be on all the time? Any way to (permanently) turn it off? Thanks.
I did not have a stock speedo when removed mine, but I believe that light should not blink since you are getting rid of everything. Finding the wire and unplugging it from the main connector at the speedometer could keep it off if it blinks.

I know this is an old thread , but here's hoping --- I removed the abs on my 2023 scram , as a result the only thing that works on the instruments is the gear indicator and the fuel gauge , it doesn't really bother me , but does anyone know of a fix to get them all working again, without reconnecting the ABS, or maybe the possibility of fitting an after market instrument cluster, then I could have the bonus of scoring a Tacho .

My experience with tachos is that the type of signal from the engine is made to match the oem speedometer. I have tried 3 different units and the rpm harness wires can not provide a consistent read, not even with an external rpm signal cleaner (tried that too). Only thing that ever worked was a unit from Runleader. These have the coil cable wrap system to pick up signal. You can use these on Himas.

Replacing the speedometer is easier, you just match functions comparing wiring diagrams. Try Koso or Acewell.

Thanks for that man, here's hoping that at a " Developer to Developer level " one of you can join up the dots, repackage that information , and then inform us Mere Mortals of a relevant consumer product to solve the problem, and a pathway to purchase said product.
I'm reasonably handy with the spanners, but a multimeter is about as far as I can go with the electrics .
As it stands when I attempt to comprehend that post, my mind drifts off to that valuable fact --- there are 18,000 words in the lead role of " Macbeth " knowing them is one thing --- but getting them in the right order is imperative.

you mean these?

I once used OBD2 + an old phone with the torque app as tacho. it gave good readings but the setup was too cumbersome and the phone took too much space. Does this bluetooth tacho work thru OBD2 as well?
