Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance

Did have the book once, his ideas on motorcycle maintenance did not align with mine 45 years ago and I was not an avid reader.

I read it when I was 20 or so, the little I remember was about quality in ones approach to anything, or in other words, the opposite of the Indian approach

Bulletproof design as proven by Laverda who made a 750 from it!

I once had a Laverda, liked the looks but impossible to ride. shook my hands right off. sold it and got a honda 550 four LOL

I once encountered a guy who had built an adventure tourer from a SF750, we called it a big Trail bike because ADV Tourers were not yet invented,
He had built his own panniers from plastic 20l fuel canisters and they would hold 24 cans and ice, Beer Cans of course this was the North West where Men where Men!
Vibration balancer shafts were not a thing back then either.
