I had to fit a Tachometer to my Bullet and found 2 available as direct fit.
Both are "plug and play"and are costly and come from the UK.
But for under A$20 there is an offering from China which I am currently investigating, it is sold on AliExpress so may be different in your country depending on tarriffs.
Problem is the " hole it goes into ", because auto gauges are 52mm and the hole in the Classic or Bullet is 49mm.
This can be overcome and I am working on it.

More to follow :)

I have tried few of these cheap china tachos and found them to be useless. They are not damped so they jump all over the place and there was a big difference to what torque via odb2 showed.

I am confident enough to order another, I have determined that this cheapie has the same internals as one of the UK offerings, same numbers on the circuit board.
This is the failed unit

And this the Chinese

If I can cut down the case it may even fit into the nacelle of the Bullet/Classic 350, second tacho cost less than first at a reduced price?
A$17! Gotta love Aliexpress :)
They have it all!

I could cut the Nacelle!
I have a Dremel ;)
Same one I used to open the case on the Himalayan with a Router attachment, its only aluminium alloy.

This is my first attempt and involved busting open the Tacho hence the Hot Glue.
Second attempt in a week or so will have a black bezel and no hot glue.
A$20 for this gauge and $5 for a PVC pipe sleeve I made the case from.

to see if they are damped and if you can run a OBD2 rpm next to it I can even see if its precise or not

I don't bother with OBD, I can see it is as accurate as the ones from the UK.

They are not plug and play, they have 4 wires to be connected at least to work and five for backlighting.
But they do work, why mine have failed could be something to do with the PT4 which is the only modification to my ignition circuit.
Also they are switchable from 1 to 8 cylinders the switch has to be activated while running, hold switch until it changes it will be obvious because it should idle at around 1000rpm and above when cold.
Or buy the Datona from HMC :ROFLMAO:.
At 350 of my dollars plus shipping I am prepared for Chinese quality at 1 17th of the cost instead.
