Will either go up in price or become unavailable. What would be a list of spares to prep for?

Hard to say. The stuff that usually fails can be replaced by 3rd party parts. maybe clutch plates, I havnt seen those as 3rd party except for the expensive Hitch stuff. ultimately anything can be repaired, e.g. rewind the stator or repair a crank. its not done bc parts are cheap here.
