In the "old days" pre tunnel, and pre Gas station in Keylong you had to carry fuel to get to Leh from Manali unless you wanted to pay rip-off prices at Pang for bottled fuel (champagne is cheaper !!). In those days there was one last IndiaOil station near Tandi but they often had no fuel so unless you took the risk to run empty extra fuel was mandatory. But today any bike can reach Leh - fuel up at Keylong and you are all set. The first fuel station towards Leh is also 30km before you reach the city.So you need fuel for 330km. Any bike can do that maybe except the Guerrilla with its puny little 10l tank, and I'd be careful with the Hunter too. But the Hunter is so light, you can push it the rest of the way LOL. 13 Litre should be enough for 330km though.
