Because someone asked: This is part of the Manali-Leh highway about 5km after Pang station. The picture was taken in 2015 when it was rather narrow - now it is a very wide and good 2-lane highway where on can really go around 100kmh for long stretches, all the way up to Tanglang La, elevation 5,328 metres. The road from there down to the valley is of questionable quality as of last year, it used to be very good but the water ingress together with frost have killed the surface on long stretches.
