Consolidated shit on the water cooled 450

No, and likely a small battery just like the Hima. It is incomprehensible to me how they make their design decisions at RE. Bunch of marketing "experts" with zero riding experience run that company now.

One of the articles says "it will have 30bhp and 40Nm"... Well, that's already old, isn't it @Dool? 😆 😆 😆

We only speak RWHP here baby!

30 minus the gear train etc,,
My battery is small also and no Kickstart.
From what I saw of the pre releases pics its an ugly looking thing that I couldn't live with.

Benelli make monsters like that, I avoided them at the Dealer, they have an Alienesque Stare and are covered in Panels and piping.
Probably great Bikes but the Himalayan Looked like a Bike ( I am not good at this! so I picked the Sick Puppy ) I should have stayed Home that Day.

This what I swapped. well traded on the Himalayan

Could not have been a Mid Life Crisis, I am way past that.
Unless it was Late Onset Mid Life Crisis

From the German DAS MOTORRAD magazin.
Not sure I like what I see

If they could have made it more ugly it would get an entry in the Guinness book ...
especially the instrument "cluster" which is now a round mobile phone with google maps on it.

I mean, if I wanted a futuristic plasticy bike I would buy KTM, much better quality and a few years on the market so no early fuckups which WILL present themselves soon enough, knowing RE's QC.

I presume the stuff on the Tank is Vomit.
Hopefully I never get close to one.
You stole the pics? I think I recognized the Hand.

wow 451.65 cubic meters yet only 40 HP :ROFLMAO:
Take with a grain of Salt.

considering this is from a motorcycle magazine or at least blog, yeah, quite hilarious. maybe an american author, deluded to think imperial is the thing and metric is for freaks
but 40 BHP (I assume it is) is too close to our approx 34 RWHP - at least in the 500cc variant, to be of great interest. not to mention 2 overhead cams with 4 valves and the water cooling shebang from a company who did 40s and 70s design engines not too long ago - what could possibly go wrong.

It is their first Water cooled machine, not the first with EFI and 2 cams, maybe they copied someone else's.
What could go wrong is they might just be awesome

Lets hope for the best - and assume the worst. If I like the rest of the 450 I may come back to you for a revamp of the instrument arrangement. I recall you have quite some experience with that. Maybe adapt the Meteor speedo instrument with a stand alone RPM tacho and the small version of the tripper - for time keeping!

Well, the world has got nuts on the new Hima. This video points out curious set of specs:

Particularly the airbox height.
