in "flash grey" - the closest to black which I would have preferred.
A bit of a gamble bc Ranjeet still does not know the new price and I really hope the rise is moderate.
Bike is promised to reach by end of week, let's see if I can do LEH this year on a new Scram 440, that would be so cool !!!

No middle stand !! had to make sure I get one from a Hima. If I ever have to fix a flat tyre. after all that why I pay extra for those alloy wheels.
good thing my panniers from the Hima will fit.

It will be Bloody Freezing, not just Cool!

Ranjeet and promises LOL, now its Monday. But the roads are partly closed due to the usual landslides so I could not go right now even if the bike was ready.

Scramming your way over the mountains doesn't have the same rhyme to it as taking a Himalayan
The 19 inch wheel could take a bit of getting used to as well.
Extra power will be a Plus.

"Scramming the Himalaya's"
Have you got a 360 degree camera?

You will never hit the Big Time;)
All the Pros have a 360

Personally I prefer the style I have seen that you have done, has character to it, like Black and White does to a scene.
Not sure if the insta 360 requires any less time to edit which is my biggest challenge.
That and the price ;)

I checked and there seem to be various models, from about 250 euros to up to 600 euros. The cams I use cost under 100 euros.
way out of my league and although I like cutting video to an extend, been doing it since late 1990s, to do it it in pro quality you need multiple perspectives aka multiple cams and in todays world probably also a medium range drone. If I where young, blond with tits and had half a million followers and "fans" on one of the pay sites it would be worth it and pay for itself (not the work, just the tech).
but, alas, I dont....

The Hair can be bleached and Tits grown, whether that gets you to half a million followers I seriously doubt :ROFLMAO:

Bike has reached the dealership. Carrier (same as 411) has been fixed. next in line: crash guard (again: same as Hima), add. lights, the "barkbuster" clones I have on all of my bikes, then I will try to fix my super comfy seat - I should be able to move the seat mechanism forward to the Hima position, if that works then I am a happy camper - ready to go. I put a bluetooth OBD2 dongle under the seat, just in case and the center stand is on order from Delhi as well. almost forgot the phone holder....

New seat looks good. btw: bc the Hima and Scram share the same frame the position of the seat lock can easily be changed back to the Hima position, allowing for all kind of second source seats to be fitted.

RE has published this colorful catalogue for all the gimmicks they sell for their bikes. Title slogan "make it truly yours".
Well, let's see what goes into the new 440 that wasn't in the "on the road" price:

what WILL be added:

done - upgrade 5 year insurance to full cover for all 5 years (normal is 1 year full, then 3rd party only)
Not that I doubt my driving skills but I do lend my bikes to friends who struggle to pay for damage they incur
and I usually end up covering for them.
done- lamination of the tank - it scratches really fast with those magnetic tank bags
done- seat changed to saddle type (like on all my Himas)
done- OEM carrier (onto which I will attach my own panniers - taken from the Hima I sold)
done- massive crash guard (same as Hima)
done- 2 x 60 watt fog lights
done - Barkbuster clones
done- 2 good mobile holders with usb - one for nav, one for cam
done - foam hand grips
done- Bluetooth OBD2 adapter (with torque app)
done- oil cooler protection
done - rear brake fluid protection
done- voltmeter
done - rear carrier from BS6 Hima

What MAY be added

- tacho, if I can find one that doesnt break the bank and works
- Fuelx Pro Plus for riding high up to have some control over the air fuel mixture
done - Bosch horns if the stock is too flimsy
- tyre hugger if test rides show throwing of mud up onto the luggage
- I really hope RE has fixed the endemic "battery runs empty when parked for a week" problem, if not a cut off switch goes under the seat
- later if I want some improvement in torque (its already much better that the 411) I may up the engine to 477.
I kinda owe it to my company to at least give it a a shot :)
done - Oil thermometer - if upgraded to 477.
done - I was kinda happy with the seating position but I may still opt for a higher handle bar later.
- "better" exhaust - in terms of sound only as I will not take out the cat (lousy experience with the Hima, lots of popping)

this list WILL be updated, I am sure I have forgotten some

Was the price agreeable?

That has to be a plus, when is the first service?

Hi,
I very much hope that the Scram 440 will come to Europe soon, I do consider switching my now 411 with the 440 6gear.
Do you know about the accessories, especially the trunk and side bag mounts, if they still fit with the 440?
Thanks

if you had given you real location and not "somewhere" I might have a solution for you - depending on where you live.
and yes, all accessories of the scram 411 will fit.
