Converting the instrument panel's temp display to oil temp (doesn't work)

I thought it useful to change from ambient temp (which I can feel) to oil temp (which is useful with a 477 especially) but no luck - the gauge only shows up to 85 C which is not nearly high enough (we had 130 in extreme cases showing on the external instruments).

Good idea - but won't work.

I made and fitted an engine temp sensor a while ago, and in the UK with temps not normally up to 30C even in mid summer , the maximum oil temperature is never normally over 75C, so works fine here. Not that I ever sit in city traffic.

I have a cheap chinese oil temp also on all Himas, round instrument, good enough IMO.
