This is the Hitchcock exhaust valve after only 7,000 km. Hence the increasing valve ticking. I guess I should have gone with the Indian valves after all.

Keep track of the Tappet clearance, and replace the adjuster screws occasionally.
No indication from that pic of kms, maintenance etc but also no pic of the Tappet screw that must be equally damaged.
