my bs 6 suffered increasingly harder steering. the indian bearings needed replacing. i opted for japanese plus german marine grease for replacement. also left shocker leaked so new fork oil.

Rust Never Sleeps:cool:
The remaining Grease is an Odd colour! Looks more like Soap.

Lower is indicating lack of Grease as well as Water transgression.

Upper is good, but needs Grease :)

Almost makes me want to have a look at Mine:unsure:

I use these now, cheaper than getting "real " SKF from Germany and as good (I have put 4 sets into different bikes all of which hold up).

NTN Bearing 30205 Tapered Roller Bearing Cone and Cup Set, S

and I use

MANNOL 8105 Marine Long Term Grease WR2 Water Resistant Long Term Grease NATO G460 KP2P-30 NLGI 2 800g Imported from Germany

And your Water is Local :giggle: , no Rust without water and Oxygen.

I bought a Pyramid set and complained like a Baby when it didnt come with a dust cover, it then came,( good customer relations! ) I put it in the same bag as the Bearings and hopefully can find that Bag when required.
