Monsoon this year was late and is still going strong. I do not mind a bit of rain but in this weather one gets soaked to the bone in under 5 minutes.
So departure is delayed, maybe after 10th Sept. - I also decided to just hit Leh, then fly back. Will do the big circle next year in early June then.
A friend will drive the bike back to Rishikesh so I have it for a winter tour in the south.

Looks like I wont be going before the 15th. Reminds me of 9 years ago, I went in late September too and in the middle between Manali and Leh got stuck
