hello. when switching to the 477 kit I will change the timing chain. but I don't have the special magneto extractor tool. do you have another solution?Or do you know the inside diameter of the special tool? 32mm is correct?
Thx
btw: the timing chain on a BS4 or BS6 only needs to be changed after 50.000 km. On a BS3 that is 30.000 but hardly anybody outside India drives those. I have that tool in my toolbox, if you do not order one I can give you the measurements. Let me know.
yes it's not essential but I tell myself that as I'm going to open the engine I might as well change the chain now and leave for 50,000km this time. I have a friend who has extractors but we are not sure of the internal diameter of the tool. I saw 32mm on a website, but if someone could confirm the measurement for me that would be great. thank you
haha. today I dismantled the piston cylinder. no problem.
But on the other hand the tool that I ordered in M32 to extract the magneto is not good. it's not 32 but 30.5...
so I'm stuck removing the magneto. I will have to order the specific tool to be sure.
I tried with a 3 claw extractor but it doesn't work. the tool slips all the time.
