A German guy has tested the TRW sintered pads against the OEM pads and got a significantly better brake performance out of them. The video has (funny) English subs too.

Those pads are available from various sources.
Louis in Hamburg wants 33 euros,

a Czech distributor only 19.76 euros

and in England they are between 22 and 24 pounds

In India we are blessed with the fact that Yamaha uses very good sintered pads that fit the Hima, they are 2 Euros a set of 2 !!!!! You guys in the west get cheated ... (but what else is new)

Also: we used to convert the floating Brembo from the 535 cafe racer for use in the Hima with good results (but no ABS).
One can also adapt the ByBre version which is now on the 650 Interceptor for use in the newer Himas (BS4 and BS6), this optional with ABS ring as well. We have done it on our BS6. Braking is more fine tuned and of course more effective if used harshly.

Braking on a Motorcycle is Vastly improved if Both Hands are on the Handle bars and Preferably ( for the people who must talk with their Hands ) one Hand either Side!
Yamaha pads are on Both My bikes, They work as good if not better than I expected coming from the Twin Leading Shoe Drum Brakes on My Kawasaki Triples. ABS has kicked in when required, so far! you can guess where I keep my Hands.

What Brand of Pads would these be?

We had the same marketing for the TRW pads for our BMW Airheads a few years back and I fell for it
Either I received a set of counterfeits or they are the worst pads ever, totally dismal!
Currently running SBS 671 RSI pads pushed by a 13mm radial MC, work better than EBC Double H TM Sintered pads, but probably damming them with faint praise.

Both my Bikes use the Yamaha pads, can not complain, they were cheap and work well.

For which Yamaha are these? Lots of Yamas where I live, I may be able to source them here as well. Ebay link above says it works for the WR on various years.

The Part number appears to be Yamaha like, Sam will perhaps know the Model.
Would go well with Harley Caliper ++, might be able to get the Back wheel in the Air šŸ™ƒ

Found that a very cheap pair of pads probably same quality as stock can be fitted. These are from Pulsar NS200. Cost me $5. Had no padding at all in the rear ones. Did not swap the front ones because I want to try those Yamaha ones. Will try to find them here.
