Started to make an easy clutch.
Needed some steel so bought a item from Bunnings. IMG_20230306_104124.jpg Steel is about 2mm thick, I will heat and fold it to get an extension on the Arm. IMG_20230306_112054.jpg

How much are you extending it?

How working travel would be affected?

about this much. cable only moves about 12mmIMG_20230306_175540.jpg

FrankenKlutch is Alive.

The point of this exercise is not to make it look sexy and it would appear I have succeeded :giggle:
Pretty much reversable and obviously easier to Pull.IMG_20230306_205051_resized_20230306_085223272.jpgIMG_20230306_205117_resized_20230306_085223433.jpgIMG_20230306_205128_resized_20230306_085223909.jpg
Of course there are other ways to do this so more to come;)

Reversable it is and very noticeableIMG_20230307_123851_resized_20230307_041309137.jpg when gone!

Point of engagement/disengagement of the clutch should have been more towards the handlebar I believe, but the longer lever should also provide the advantage of better control over the engagement point!

Even if I have an Eazyclutch contraption, I'm almost convinced to do one myself! :)

It'n not a pretty solution (yet) but i think the overall concept behind it is more elegant.

Yes Millimeters.
If you look at this pic you can see the easy answer, it involves bending the Lever ( with heat ) on the 2 fold lines to reduce the Upwards and increase the Outwards I think 6 to 8mm is possible there .
This would not look quite as Franky ;)

Mmmm I like this solution less. Although it is true what you say, you risk lowering it too much and scratching the clutch cover...

Problem is that the whole 18 shaft is welded, otherwise one could redo just the plate with same bends but longer...

Master cylinder piston( 12.7 or 1/2 inch ) is 126.7
Area of a 14mm Slave is 153.9 and 201 for a 16mm Slave.
Leverage is leverage, hydraulics aint rocket science

Challenge accepted ;)Easy, I will order a new one and when it arrives butcher it ( read , Make adjustments to it ) I recon it would be easy to bash it and get extra length.
By flattening it then bending it up just enough to clear the case.
