New BS6 Hima 477 design plan using the 440 ECU/TB

Given the positive experience with the 410cc BB kit on an unmodified 350 ECU engine I think the Scram 440 ECU/TB combi can easily be used for the 477 upgrade.
Considering programing challenges and the fact that its partly dismembered the PT V4 with its missing access to critical sensors the OEM may even be the better option. If lean run is a problem there is always the fuelx pro+ to help with that.

anyone has any feedback why this may not work or why the PT may be better?

Send me the throttle body I will give it a go 😁

Actually I was going to have a try with this, $50.

Worth a try.

In any case, stretching my allowance for this month to the max I have ordered the 440 ECU and will rebuild the BS6 Hima that I had just remodeled to 411 to a 500 again, this time with the 440 ecu and fuelx pro for add. fuel. If that 500cc setup works I will happily offer the 477 BB kit with the 440 ecu together as a more economic and also way easier to handle alternative. No messing with mapping of a cryptic powertronic, just truly plug and go !!

If the ECU on the 440 is so good then why does it appear to produce so little HP ?
What is the "perceived" advantages, is it bigger in diameter.
If it is only the Tune then that is presumably not much of an improvement.

I guess wait and see - or sell your Hima and get a 440 or any BS6 with conversion

So this is my spark plug form the Bullet, it is running 411cc with stock head decat and stock muffler and Aircleaner cheap arse modification.
The AFR Meter shows mid to high 13 to low 14 and it runs great without FX.
Without Data it is a guesstimate at best but I think the stock ECU is good enough for 411cc.
Dyno testing may clarify this as maybe my Butt has lost the feel

Moved this from dev to Hima discussion bc I think its pretty clear that the 440 ECU will work fine with the 477 BB kit, especially if supported by fuelx, but even without it. I will offer a package including the 477 BB kit plus this TB/ECU combo for people who do not want to fiddle with the complexities of Powertronic mapping. It will also be cheaper than what the PT would cost in the west.

If there is a way to fit the 477 kit on the scram 411 without fiddling with the ECU, just my replacing the one of the 440 I will buy that yesterday! Thanks for the good work on this one!

I am happy to announce that @brotherpaul1911 has volunteered to be the first user of this setup. I for one can't wait to read his feedback here.
I have also ordered one 440 TB/ECU for my Himalayan BS6 and will re-fit the 500cc set if it reaches me in time for my trip to the mountains.

ask me again when I have it in hand, but my guess would be YES. only externally, the mapping will of course be different

It would be interesting to compare against a Himalayan throttle body. I sincerely hope brotherpaul1911 doesn't have any problems making the new/revised ECU work on his scram.

I see that presumptions are being made that it will be suitable for a BS6 477/500 big bore possibly with a fuel x pro because it works on a 440 scram.
Just a bit concerned that the 440 scram appears to have a different top end engine design as well as a 6 speed box. I do wonder what other changes apart from a revised ECU/mapping they have done to the engine? Some reports seem to indicate it's quite a lot more powerful than the 25 hp claim suggests. I believe Sam also reported it being on par with a 477.
Will be interesting to see if the 440ECU/Throttle Body is BS6 plug and play and if it is self learning for the bigger capacity 477/500. Fingers crossed.

Not quite at par with the 477 - which if correctly tuned reaches up to 30-ish HP. but much better than the stock 411.
the engine seems mostly the same - I will venture to get a peek at the schemata in the (online only) spare catalogue to find out if the OHC is the same or modified, but my guess is its the same.

the 411 scam already had 24 so 25 isn't really a huge step up.

If it's only 1 hp up from a 411 scram, what makes you think the ECU/TB is different? I guess you'll know when yours arrives.
